introducing the newest clarke...

meet miss scarlett!

a 2 year-old english coonhound and the newest clarke member.

our sweet dalmatian, dottie, passed away in december when we were home for the holidays. it was extremely rough to say goodbye to her, and it was quite evident how empty the house immediately felt when she was gone. about a week later, the silence had lifted... the house was filled again with the pitter-patter of rather large paws. my family rescued scarlett and have officially fallen in love. she truly is the perfect combination of dottie + maggie (my beagle that i had growing up) and is just about the cutest thing ever.

momma just emailed me a photo of her + dad in west jeffy and i just had to share (dad is very smitten with this little one). can't wait to meet our newest family member in person!

we love to spoil our nephews, so this valentines day the hubs + i sent them little gifts to remind them how much we love them. one of the gifts was heart-shaped sunglasses...
