SCOTT JASON WILLEFORD is OUR NEPHEW!!!

(wouldn't you know about 2sec after i posted the last entry we found out the name - thank you, peggy, for calling us!!!)

i never knew you could fall in love over the phone without ever seeing or talking to someone, but - ladies & gents - i can tell you it has happened! please continue sending prayers to this beautiful new family! i will post pictures as soon as we receive them!

the newest love of my life is born!

about an hour ago our nephew was born!!! oh my goodness... we are an uncle and aunt now!!!

baby boy willeford was born on 9.19.08 around 11:30pm, weighing 8lbs 10oz, and measuring 22in long (way to go, diane, for being such a trooper and carrying that healthy boy around for 9 months!)

mother and baby (& daddy) are doing fabulously (so we hear)... diane was induced early on this morning and endured a long day of pain and anguish. she finally got to being 4.5cm dilated but stayed there for a while longer than her physician's would have liked (especially with her being a high risk pregnancy)... they performed a c-section and around 11:30pm on september 19th, diane and jason became parents! we are so proud of you, diane, for all you went through today and we are praying for a smooth recovery from your surgery! congratulations to the most fantastic newly-named mom and dad!!!

the grandparents (peggy & david) are also doing well - they are currently in the rex hospital waiting room anxiously awaiting their cue to go in and see the newest addition to our family! they have both been lifesavers for us (me, in particular) today - we were/are devastated not to be back in raleigh with our family during this exciting time, but peggy and david made sure to keep in touch with me all throughout the day and let me know every little thing that was going on! you both are going to be AMAZING grandparents! yay!

as you probably noticed, the name is not yet known, but i will post it as soon as i find out! right now, paul and i are sitting around watching tv & waiting with the highest level of excitement for the next phone call update!

WE LOVE YOU, DIANE, JASON, & SWEET LITTLE NEPHEW!!! i can't wait to hold onto you in october and never let you go!

hey! so while i await news from the east coast in regards to our nephew, i thought i would post a few pictures from this past week! a few months ago, paul bought us tickets to the maroon 5/counting crows/augustana concert as a birthday present for me (how sweet is my hubs?!). we went to the concert this past wednesday and we were lucky enough to have michael & taylor join us (our new friends from alabama that live on the floor above us... yay!!!). we had an absolutely fantastic time (although we now know that drinking franzia in the amphitheatre parking lot is prohibited :-))! here are a few pictures from the night...

it's happening!!!

i have so much to write about at the moment, but for now all you need to know is that diane & jason were called into the hospital early this morning, they started the induction process, and they just broke her water!!!

WE ARE GOING TO HAVE A NEPHEW ANY MOMENT NOW!!!

i'm pretty sure i couldn't be any more thrilled beyond belief! will update if you want to also know what's going on as the day journeys forward... for now, i'm off to go work-out with michael & taylor! send prayers diane, jason, and the baby's way!

[p.s. i had a dream a few nights ago that he would be named michael - jason confirmed that that was one of the names they liked but i was wrong. last night i had a dream he was named jack... we'll see if i'm right in a few hours!!!]

one week from now...

WE WILL HAVE A NEPHEW!!!

oh my goodness, i just got the most fabulous news... diane got word today that her physicians have decided that if she has not gone into labor by this time next week, she will be induced!!! wow! my heart is overflowing with joy for diane, jason, the little baby and the rest of our family! (i apologize for all the exclamation points, but i can't help myself...!!!)

with all the excitement, i really wish paul and i were going to be back in raleigh for the big day, but i need to remember we'll be there soon enough to see our little nephew (october 10th!). i just can't believe that in a week or LESS we'll have a new addition to our family! diane, watch out... when we get back to raleigh, i am not going to let that baby out of my arms/sight :-).

i can't stop thinking about what we're going to call him! diane & jason, you sure were smart to keep that a secret because it's giving all of us a lot to talk about these days! i, personally, would love be able to sing "rock-a-bye sweet baby james" (james taylor) to the little one, but i know any name they have chosen is going to be absolutely perfect! oh my goodness, i want to meet his scrumptious cuteness immediately!!!

please keep the willefords and mobleys in your prayers throughout this beyond-thrilling and oh-so-new process!!! i will post information as we receive it in regards to the arrival of our new nephew!

[in other news: our fabulous friends, taylor & michael zabala, have finally moved to stanford from birmingham, alabama! yay! it is so nice to have these sweet ones here to hang around with! we love you guys!

also, i started my part-time job-ish activity as an anatomy TA for the 1st-year DPT students this week... so. much. fun. i love getting to know them and help them out as much as i can! who would've thought i would ever volunteer to dissect cadavers for a second time around?!]

it's almost time to meet little baby boy willeford!

as many of you know, paul and i are anxiously awaiting the arrival of our very first nephew!!! it's so hard to be all the way across the country from diane & jason during this exciting time in their lives, but it's finally official... we are going to fly home on october 10th to meet the little one! nugget's (as he is fondly called until he is born and then his name will finally be revealed) due date is september 27th. since diane is considered "high risk" (due to her blood clot) her physicians have said they will not let her go past her due date... sarah, charles, paul and i have been making bets as to when lil' nugget will be born... i think the 20th, sarah thinks the 22nd (i can't remember what dates paul and charles decided on)... no matter what day he comes, this little boy is going to be so welcomed and loved by his family!

diane sent me some pictures yesterday of her growing belly!!! especially with this time off from school, i wish i could be there with her and feel that little boy kick away (paul got to feel him kick last time we were home, but i missed out... sadness!). she says she and jason are working on packing their hospital bag and they have been attending their helpful childbirth classes... they are going to be such wonderful, prepared parents!

please send some thoughts and prayers their way as they embark on the last few weeks of their pregnancy!!! we love you, diane & jason & lil' nugget!!!
