day 11: no service thursday...

i apologize for my delay in posting about day 11 as well as for the absolute lack of photos (there's not even a livi dog photo of the day photo... tragic!). we have had spotty cell phone and wifi/3G service over the past 24 hours preventing my from writing my typical posts. but here is a recap of the day...

1. we left the schroeders in denver early in the morning... it was so sad to say goodbye! we had the absolute best time with them over the past week...
2. we were detained in ft. collins for a few hours while trying to find wifi to take care of a few things. BUT, we were so glad that we stopped there! it is such a cute and fun town! paul tasted beer at the new belgium brewery, we took a scenic bike ride with the livster, and we stumbled upon a great sidewalk craft fair of sorts!
3. next, we drove... and drove... and drove. we drove from denver to wyomjng to south dakota! we started 'mockingjay' and paul is more hooked than ever!
4. we saw mount rushmore! very cool... and somewhat strange...
5. and we decided to try not to book it through the badlands since we were running out of daylight. instead, we have stayed the night in rapid city after walking through their 'summer nights' street festival downtown.

now we are hitting the road and preparing for another long day of driving through vast country! hopefully i will be able to update on-time an with photos tonight!

also - july 12 was my in-laws' wedding anniversary! happy anniversary, peggy and david!
